<lj:music>Red Red Wine; Not my choice</lj:music>

Yesterday with Jeff out of town and me having to work, all day, Maggie was stuck at home alone for nearly 10 hours. This was more than twice as long as she has ever been by herself and she was not pleased about it. (I figure she has a 5 hour alone limit.)

When we are at work Maggie temporarily dwells in our shower. (It’s about 3.5 feet square and helps keep her out of trouble – for now.) When I got home I found that she built a pyramid in the middle the shower with all of her stuff. The toys on top of the empty food dish which was on top of the water dish that was on top of her dog bed which was on top of the towel. When I went to take her out of the "cage" Maggie just looked at me like how "could you"… Then she looked at me all shameful, turned to where she had her first accident and looked back at me with big eyes that said, I just couldn’t hold it for 10 hours. Poor thing! She is very prideful about learning quickly and having been nearly potty trained from the get go, this was a bad day for her.

This morning when I had to leave she cried and cried… I’m sure she’s afraid to be alone for that long again… Man do I feel guilty. I wanted to bring her with me or stay home. :-(

I need to come up with a better plan on the days that we are gone for extended periods.....

Last night I fell in love, again - this time with a puppy.
So guess who took the puppy home.... That’s right, the girl who didn’t want the responsibility of a dog…I must be out of my mind.

Oh, and the part that I didn’t mention is that I returned a pair of shoes that I really “had to have” to afford the little one. (See I must be ill or something. I, the shoe queen, took back shoes to have a dog…)

I’ve wanted a pit-bull forever and that was the plan however the home owner’s insurance companies will not cover us if we have a pit or a number of other breeds…Since I have to have insurance to stay within the terms of our mortgage I was stuck. Jeff wanted a Bull Dog, which was next on the list... They are a small fortune and it’s hard to find a good one. With our number one and two choices out of reach for the time being we were fine waiting or not having a K-9. That is until yesterday after we drove groundstruck0 and her man to the airport… That is when I saw her….

A little German pup… (sokkmonkey would be proud.)
She is a 4 lb, solid black, miniature schnauzer with an adorable personality and fabulous demeanor…

Currently she is nameless since we already have a Lucy, what Max wanted to name her, amongst the extended family.

The names in the running now are: Raven, Mesha, Maggie, Token, Lady, and Diamond… We are still not set on any and are looking for a good one that fits. Suggestions are welcome. I will post photos soon….

Love is only a commodity in the West......the rest of the world scoffs at it....

It is true though that love is not only some “grand emotion” here it is also has economic value to one degree or another. Really think about it, there are things that you would likely give or trade or do for love… It is that way with the majority of the west. It consumes us. As do titles and hollow words.

Yesterday, my horoscope – which often entertains me – stated that I would soon become sick of peoples excuses. That I as I always do would know when a person was full of it however now I would finally stop hoping it would change, rather I would simply spit upon those who used words as a masquerade.

Not sure I will literally spit on anyone, although at times I have felt like it. This week I have found myself quite impatient with BS- sick to death with the things that people say and do not mean or do not follow through with. All too often people say that they care, will always care, call one another a best friend or a love one yet one or both parties does not really mean it. Over and over time proves who the truth teller was and who was just creating a smoke screen……

How long does it last???

Saw, “The Pursuit of Happiness” last month and since then I have been asking these questions.

FYI: Good film where quality and acting are concerned…very depressing with a brief moment of uplift.

Oh and its the one type the husband drinks.

You Are Rum

You're the life of the party, and a total flirt
You are also pretty picky about what you drink
Only the finest labels and best mixed cocktails will do
Except if you're dieting - then it's Diet Coke and Bicardi all the way

What Alcoholic Drink Are You?
